The Reverend Dale John George was ordained a priest on May 31, 1958, at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City. Father George was a honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.

BRIAN THOMAS HASTINGS

Brian Thomas Hastings born February l3, 1981 in Hamilton, Ohio, to Thomas and Donna Hastings. Brian and his family moved to Arizona where he attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. In 1991 he moved to Cave Creek where he attended Cave Creek Schools and Our Lady of Joy Parish. He was an altar server for several years. He joined the Knights of Columbus where he was active with his dad and brother Mike
. Throughout his life Brian played baseball and especially loved golf. He was a member of the golf team at St. Mary's High School his freshman year. He graduated early and enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 18 where he became a Navy Corpsman.After being discharged from the Navy he attended Paradise Valley Community College where he was studying to be a paramedic. On December 1st of 2002 his daughter Christina Marie was born
. She was the light of his life until his sudden death at the age of 23. Christina was 15 months old.Brian died on March 28, 2004 at the age of 23. He left behind his daughter Christina age 15 months.

Michael Ray Hastings born December 6, 1982
in Hamilton, Ohio, to Thomas and Donna Hastings. Mike moved to Arizona where he also attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. In 1991 moved to Cave Creek where he attended Cave Creek Schools and Our Lady of Joy Parish. He was an altar server with his brother Brian at Our Lady of Joy Parish for several years. Mike was also a first degree Knight where he was active with his brother and dad. Throughout his life Mike was an excellent baseball and soccer player. He was on the Cactus Shadows High School State Championship Team in 2000. Mike also graduated early and was considering enlisting in the United States Navy. On August 13, 2002 his daughter Madison was born. Mike lost his life in an automobile accident on December 5, of 2004, the day before his 22nd birthday, just eight months after losing his brother Brian. Madison was just two years old.RAY H. COX

, 1927 was born in Hamilton, Ohio . He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1945 and served in the United States Navy. In 1992 he and his wife Marcia moved to Arizona to be near their grandsons Chad, Brian and Mike Hastings. Both Marcia and Ray came into the Church through the RCIA at Our Lady of Joy at the Easter Vigil. Brian and Mike both served mass when grandma and grampa came into the church . He joined the Knights of Columbus where he made many friends and was active with his grandsons. Grampa never missed a baseball or soccer game. Nothing made him happier than being with his grandsons . He was blessed to see the birth of his two great-granddaughters, Madison and Christina . He was preceded in death by both grandsons. Ray passed away six months after his grandson Mike on May 6, 2005.Reverand Dale J. George

The Reverend Dale George was born Oct. 17, 1932, at
Maryhill in Cherokee County, Iowa, the son of Leonard J.
and Kathryn (Pitts) George. He graduated from St. Mary's
Catholic High School in Storm Lake in 1950 and from
Loras College in Dubuque in 1954. From 1954 to 1958, he
studied at Mt. St. Bernard Seminary in Dubuque. He also
received his masters of arts in Latin at Creighton
University in Omaha, Neb.

All of his brother Knights were deeply touched by Max's simple life.
Max accepted his limitations and disabilities, always with a smile.
His humble and generous ways were an inspiration to us all.
